Lo que es curioso es que la imagen de la f\u00e1brica era una estrella de David,la que identifica al pueblo hebreo,como se puede apreciar en el viejo dep\u00f3sito de agua con forma de caja de cart\u00f3n que sobresale del edificio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Hace a\u00f1os que la f\u00e1brica,en la confluencia de las calles Badajoz y Bolivia,dej\u00f3 de funcionar,ya que no pudo recuperarse del grave incendio que sufri\u00f3 en octubre de 1973,que provoc\u00f3 la muerte de tres trabajadores. Pero la memoria de aquella actividad todav\u00eda pervive en el inmueble,hoy ocupado por otras empresas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El elemento que llama m\u00e1s la atenci\u00f3n es el dep\u00f3sito de agua mencionado. Tiene forma de caja de cart\u00f3n abierta y luce en sus cuatro lados el sello de la vieja compa\u00f1\u00eda,un c\u00edrculo con la estrella de David en el centro,rodeada por el nombre jur\u00eddico de la empresa,Envases Universal J. Rius S.A.,que es el que ostentaba a finales de la d\u00e9cada de 1950. De hecho,Rius es uno de los apellidos adoptados por los jud\u00edos conversos en la Edad Media. Seg\u00fan las cr\u00f3nicas de la \u00e9poca,las p\u00e9rdidas econ\u00f3micas del siniestro superaron los 200 millones de pesetas. No obstante,la gran tragedia fue que tres trabajadores perdieron la vida all\u00ed.
